Provincials in Edmonton

Congratulations to the B1 Mavericks in taking Gold at the provincials in Edmonton this past weekend, great work! Congratulations to Axemen B3 is also in order as they secure a Bronze win! Well done teams!!!

Silver Sweep at Provincials in Red Deer

Congratulations to all Axemen who competed in Red Deer over the weekend. Peewee A, Bantam A, Bantam C, and Midget A all received silver. Provincials will continue for the remaining divisions in Edmonton this coming weekend and we wish you all the best of luck. Let's get a gold streak in Edmonton!

Axemen Midget A wins gold in Canada Day Tournament!

The final score of 5 to 4 over the Calgary Hornets was decided in the shootout. The club is proud of the coaches and players of all teams who participated and wish those teams competing in Provincials in the coming weeks the best of luck!

The Year End Appreciation Party

The appreciation night ended the season on a such a great tone and a fantastic time was had by all. To everyone involved in staging the event, a sincere thank you, you've done a wonderful job! The Axemen club would like to extend congratulations to all of the recipients that evening. Specifically, the Volunteer of the Year award to Gail Owen, Hall of Fame inductees Leslie Churchill, Carolyn Sucha, and Dave Bryant (photo not available), and Ben Albert Award recipients Charlotte Henderson, Megan Janzen, Cam McIntosh, Ryan Noble, Nicholas Grabe, Nick Robinson, and David (DJ) Glen. Also we would like to acknowledge a new award this year, the Cattoni Legacy Scholarship Award and congratulate its first recipient Holden Cattoni. Further, we would like to extend congratulations to all our graduating Midget players! You've done the club proud and we wish you all the best and hope to hear from you in the future!

Team Alberta Box

4 Bantam Girls, 6 Novice, 6 Peewee, 6 Bantam and 8 Midget boys for a total of 24 Axemen players will be representing Alberta at the EG Dopp Trophy (CLA Pee Wee Nationals), the Commissioner’s Trophy (CLA Bantam Nationals), and the Bantam Female National Championship in Whitby Ontario; and Tackaberry Trophy (CLA Midget Nationals) this summer.  Congratulations Axemen!
