Novice is for players aged 9 and 10 years old, born 2000, 2001

- Play with the 30-second clock
Novice is the first division where tiering occurs. This means that each club will have one or more 'A' teams and one or more 'B' division teams. Tiering is only at the 'A' and 'B' levels.
The league is divided up into a North Division and a South Division for the 'B' divisions. The 'A' divisions will play teams from all clubs that have 'A' Level teams.
Both divisions play in a league and league statistics are kept to determine playoff positions. Playoffs are played to determine city champions.
